Hungener Käsescheune, Germany

Hungener Käsescheune is both a restaurant and a dairy farm. This means that they produce their own cheeses, as well as other products they then offer in their restaurant. They take care of the food processing from production to the final offer to their visitors.

In the case of cheeses, this means that they have strict control over where they get their milk, who produces it, and how they produce it. Then they process this milk themselves in their own dairy. It has glass walls so that visitors of the restaurant can see with their own eyes the entire process of food processing (mainly cheese, and other dairy products), which can be ordered. In the restaurant, they offer organic soft cheese Etterauer, soft cheese Wetterauer, fresh goat cheese Wetterauer, fresh cheese from organic cow’s milk, fresh cheese from goat’s milk Demeter, cheese Vesper (with freshly ground paprika powder), Licher’s beer cheese, cheese with pepper, Äppelwoi cheese, Cistercian cheese, saffron cheese, etc.

Given that one of the main values of Hungener Käsescheune is honesty and transparency, they are very proud and open to the origins of all delicacies that they offer in their restaurant. They also praise the cheeses they get from renowned mountain farms, and then only “refine” them, which means that they add spices and aroma that really makes the cheese even better.

Every year they have more orders for their cheeses. Because of the physical work with cutting cheese, they bought a Plevnik cheese cutting device RS 400. It makes the job much easier, as it takes all the physical effort, the pieces of cheese are the same and nicely cut. At the same time, work is much safer.

They offer their products in their own restaurant, webshop, own shop as well in other local shops.
