Farma Timea Olešná, Slovakia

Farma Timea Olešná is a family-run organic farm dairy in Slovakia, located in the Kysuce region of north-western Slovakia — a hilly, less fertile area whose clean natural conditions have become its greatest asset. The farm manages approximately 1,062 hectares of agricultural land in total, of which up to 904 hectares are cultivated under certified organic management. Most of this land serves as permanent grassland and pasture for sheep and cattle, whose milk and meat form the basis of the farm’s produce.

The owners made a deliberate decision years ago: to make the most of their healthy, natural farming environment by offering customers traceable, high-quality food produced entirely within their own operation. The farm processes beef, pork, and milk from its own animals; sells products in its own on-farm store; produces free-range chicken eggs; and runs a restaurant service offering daily lunch menus, celebration catering, and regular delivery to households in the surrounding area.

In 2024, the dairy expanded with new Plevnik equipment. The centrepiece of the upgrade is the Plevnik cheese kettle SKH 500 EW PRO with integrated elevator — a horizontal handling device that significantly reduces the physical effort required during curd handling and kettle cleaning. Alongside it, the fermentation cabinet OZF 720 supports consistent fermentation of the farm’s yoghurt range. The built-in control computer and its programmable processes allow the team to maintain balanced product quality and consistent taste — a key factor in building lasting customer loyalty.

“We are most pleased with the new Plevnik cheese kettle. The horizontal handling device saves employees’ energy when cleaning and handling the curd. The controller and its programs allow us to produce products with a balanced quality and taste, retaining customers for a long time.”
