University of Neubrandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany

At University of Neubrandenburg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, the department of Agriculture and Food Science teaches a course on food technology for over 25 years. Students finish their studies with a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Many course contents are very practical. In the 4th semester, students have a week of practice in the field of milk technology.

Recently the university bought a new Plevnik Cheese kettle SKH 200 EL Advance+. With this device, students learn how to make not only pasteurized milk, preheat whey and skim milk, but also produce butter cheese and soft cheese. Mrs. Schäpe has told us, how they are pleased with the new device:

“The Plevnik cheese kettle SKH 200 EL Advance+ corresponds to our needs very well. It is robust and easy to operate. At the same time, it has more functions than the previous one. Our work became easier and less time-consuming. All processes are done quickly thanks to effective heating and cooling. The device serves us very well. The price-performance ratio is very good.”
