Ystepikene Farm, Norway

Ystepikene Farm is located in the green fields of Jæren, in the south of Norway. The farm has been owned by the family for 100 years. In November 2019, they build a new dairy and equipped it with Plevnik’s devices: SKH 800 EL Professional cheese kettle with controller MC 500 R and elevating device, pneumatic cheese press PPS-U3 and cheese table SDM-3010 with dividing plate.

Owner’s opinion on Plevnik products:

Everyone participates on the farm. “Our lives have changed for the whole family and all of us help to produce and to sell cheese.”
Hard-working boy Trym makes sure all the cows find a way home in the summer. Father Jon is responsible for the production of compound feeds, milk and meat.
Mother Siri is responsible for egg production and milk processing. Daughters Ingfrid and Gøril and son Jonas also help at the dairy. They also have five employees. Additionally, Siri’s sister Ane helps in administration.

The first product offered to the public was a homemade feta cheese called Jærsk Bedaost. They soon started producing cream cheese Jærsk Kremost and camembert cheese Jærsk Kvitskimmel. Their latest product Jærsk Havsletteost is slightly salty cheese for heating in own. It is rolled in seaweed.

The products are sold directly at the farm in their Boutique and in some grocery stores.
