Farm Quesos y Besos, Spain

The family farm Quesos y besos, located in the picturesque Andalusia in southern Spain, has been dedicated to the production and processing of goat milk and the crafting of top-quality goat cheeses for four generations. On this farm, where they understand the exceptional importance of quality, their herd grazes daily on the idyllic rural terrains of Sierra del Trigo in the Valdepeñas de Jaén municipality. Here, the goats enjoy thyme, acorns, wild hay, olive leaves, and many other natural flavors. All this diverse diet contributes to the unique and distinctive milk flavors, which they primarily transform into fresh or soft cheeses.

They have been processing goat cheese in an artisanal manner for several generations, always with great care and passion. The new generations wanted to professionalize this task to continue the heritage, and they have found valuable assistance in Plevnik machines, including the SKH-2O 1500 HW cheese kettle, the all-in-one PH 100 EZ monoblock pasteurizer, and the SKH 300 EL PRO cheese kettle with a lifting device for easier emptying. They use various maturation rooms with different temperatures and humidity to ensure the adequacy of each cheese type.

They adapt to market trends and customer demands to develop the cheeses of the future while staying true to their motto: “Homemade tastes better.”

Their passion and dedication are recognized worldwide, as they have received numerous prestigious awards in global cheese competitions, including gold and super gold medals (Olavidia – Gran Oro 2023, Olavidia – Absolute World Champion 2021 – 2022, Muzquia – Gold Medal 2021 – 2022, Camembeso – Super Gold Medal, Olavidia – Best Milk Coagulation Cheese and Best Cheese in the Gourmet Quesos 2022 competition, among many others).

All of this ensures the consistent quality of their products, which are becoming increasingly popular among locals and international cheese enthusiasts.
