Organic farm Kukenberger, Trebnje, Slovenia

The Kukenberger Organic Farm is led by Toni Kukenberger, an innovative young farmer 2016 selected by the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia. They have received 10 gold awards at the national evaluations of The goodness of Slovenian farms, which is proof that they are doing very well.

In 2017, the Kukenberger family built a new dairy with Plevnik cheese kettles SKH 1000 EW Professional and SKH 500 EW Professional and prepress PRP-R 120. Working platform allows them to work much more efficiently and ergonomically.

Toni Kukenberger said:
“Superior performance in heating, cooling and processing milk in all phases of process is what I can tell about Plevnik devices. The best cheese, yoghurt and quark is logical consequence.”

Raw organic hay milk (ZTP Haymilk) is the basis for the production of all their products. Cows are fed hay in winter and graze in summer. They do not consume any silage, so milk has a more favorable composition of fatty acids and is always (full) of flavor. They take care of animal welfare, sustainable tillage and the highest quality products.

They produce various semi-hard cheeses (plain, herbal, pepper, smoked), fresh cheese, grilled cheese, sweet and fresh cottage cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt (plain, vanilla, blueberry, seasonal flavors), sweet and sour cream, raw and melted (ghee) butter and whey. All products from Kukenberger Farm are made of pasteurized or thermalized, non-homogenized milk produced on the farm.
